The NCPO is able to offer postgraduate research degrees to suitable candidates. Programs offered include Master of Applied Science. PhD (research) and Clinical Doctorates
Research Areas:
- Biomechanical and clinical evaluation of prosthetic and orthotic components
- Computer simulation of normal and amputee gait
- Normal and pathological gait analysis
- Prosthetic and orthotic function in rehabilitation
Research Facilities
Students of the NCPO have access to the wide range of research facilities in the Faculty of Health Sciences. These include basic and specialised research equipment in physiology, microanatomy, biochemistry, biomechanics and ergonomics.
