La Trobe University Women's Network

The La Trobe University Women's Network is a group established to broaden the social and professional networks of women at the University. The Women's Network provides informal opportunities for professional development and mentoring. A Committee of eleven women organise regular activities for the Network, including lunchtime seminars and annual dinners.

In addition to providing social and professional opportunities for women on campus, the Network has raised funds for an annual postgraduate award, a $250 book voucher for a disadvantaged female postgraduate student.

The Network, now well established on the Melbourne campus, is widely supported by the University's management.

The La Trobe University Women's Network provides an excellent opportunity for women working at the University to share ideas with their colleagues and create informal channels of support. This sense of collegiality contributes to the continuing success of La Trobe University both as an institution and as a community of committed teaching and support staff.
Emeritus Professor Nancy F. Millis, AC, MBE, Chancellor of La Trobe University
