Indigenous plant nursery
Prior to the arrival of European people in the Melbourne region, there was an impressive range of native plants indigenous to the area now occupied by the MWS; over 400 species ranging from tiny orchids to towering eucalypts.
The nursery specialises in plants indigenous to the Lower Yarra Valley; over 250 species are available.
