Macintosh installation
The VPN client software is pre-configured for you. The installation file contains all of the relevant files necessary to install the VPN client on a Mac OS X platform.
Download
Access to the VPN client is restricted to La Trobe University staff and students. Your La Trobe Staff or Student username and password are required to download the VPN client.
This version of the client (4.9.01.0100) is intended for OS X (10.4 or later).
This version of the client will work on both PowerPC and Intel based Mac's.

Installation
Previous versions of the VPN client must be uninstalled before installation will complete.
- The Cisco VPN client will mount on the desktop. Double click on the Installer package named Cisco VPN Client.mpkg
- Click on Continue to begin the installation
- Click Continue after reading the Software License Agreement
- Click Agree if you accept the terms of the software licence agreement
- Select the Hard Drive you wish to install the Cisco VPN Client software on by clicking the hard drive.
Click Continue
- Click Upgrade
- You will need to authenticate as a machine administrator in order to install the Cisco VPN Client Software.
Once you have authenticated, click Upgrade
- The installation process does not require any user interaction and will complete in less than 1 minute
- Click Close after the software has been successfully installed
