Single Unit Enrolments

Single unit enrolments are available on a fee for service basis in units offered by the School of Visual Arts and Design. Students enrolling in single units have full access to facilities including after-hours, and may use passes in these units to contribute credits to a degree should they wish later to enroll in one. As units at second and third year levels have prerequisites enrolment initially is in units at first year level.

Single unit enrolments are available in Visual Arts Units in the following studio areas:

Single unit enrolment in Visual Arts Media Workshop within the chosen studio area is recommended for students wishing to develop their technical skills through a series of applied assignments and projects.

For students who wish to develop their own ideas against the benchmark of contemporary practice through a series of lectures and workshops, enrolment in Theory and Methodologies in Studio Practice within the chosen studio area is recommended.

Enrolment is also available in Art and Visual Culture.

Single unit enrolments are available in the following Design units:

  • Applied Design - for students who wish to develop vocationally orientated technical skills and the use of computer applications.
  • Design Studies - for students who wish to concentrate on conceptual self development and design skills enhancement.
