Comparative Studies in Visual Media provide opportunities for you to explore new means of combining and hybridising media from another discipline in conjunction with your major.

The lectures in this unit assist you to develop concepts about working across more than one media by exploring the work of artists who have combined media or worked outside conventional art practice.

Comparative Studies in Visual Media provides an opportunity to collaborate with other students and in later stages of your degree may involve community based projects or other collaborative activities.

Each unit of Comparative Studies in Visual Media comprises one 1-hour lecture, one 1-hour tutorial and one 1-hour workshop per week for the duration of the semester. Assessment is by 5 – two-week assignments per unit.
