Plan

The building layout is based around a series of courtyards that provide access to daylight, ventilation, visual relief and useable outdoor activity and display space. In this building designed by architect, Peter Elliott, there is a strong indoor outdoor relationship between spaces which provides a dynamic setting for staff, students, visiting artists and the public. The building is organised around two principal zones, being the front of house Main Gallery, Access Gallery and Auditorium zone, and the back-of-house Artist-in-Residence apartment and Studios and which are shown on the floor plan.

The main entrance is from View St. There is also rear access for trucks and cars from the lane way off Rowan St. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and has a platform lift between the two levels.
