The VAC is a contemporary art gallery which also offers a unique space to host business and social events, staff training and public seminars. The facilities are available 7 days a week, including in the evening. In the past the venue has been used for various purposes including book and film launches, public seminars, awards nights, private meetings, Annual General Meetings, lecture series and formal cocktail events.
The modern auditorium offers tiered seating for up to 100 (67 permanent seats with writing desks) and a flexible lighting system. AV facilities include a dedicated laptop computer, ceiling mounted data projector and video/DVD player, all with touch screen controls, a large projection screen and whiteboard. The acoustics in the auditorium are excellent however a microphone and sound system is also available, as is ADSL internet connection. Use of all equipment is included in the hire fee and assistance with AV setup is provided by VAC staff.
The elegant black marble tiled reception area provides space for pre- or post-event catering. In the warmer months the open air sculpture courtyards provide additional space for guests.
Room 1.06 provides private space away from other activities within the VAC. This meeting room has excellent natural light and access to a small private courtyard. There is seating for a dozen people around a conference style table; internet connectivity, use of a DVD player and flat screen television are included in the hire cost.
Catering
If required, quality food and beverages are provided by VAC preferred caterers, who offer value for money and flexible menu plans. Coffee and tea facilities are also available.
