Darebin City Council seeking feedback about Tram Route 86

Darebin City Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to improve service along Tram Route 86 to make it faster, safer, more reliable and more accessible.

The Tram Route 86 Corridor Improvement project covers a 6.8km corridor along High Street and Plenty Road, from Westgarth Street in Westgarth to Albert Street in Reservoir.

The proposal is important as more efficient, accessible and reliable public transport must be part of all short, medium and long term solutions to the problems of traffic congestion, the impact of climate change and rising fuel prices.

If a faster, safer, more reliable and easier to access tram service on Route 86 is important to you, then please let Council know by signing the petition located in the Security, Traffic & Parking office on Level 1 of Peribolos East.

You can visit www.darebin.vic.gov.au/route86 for more information or to fill out an online survey, and find out how to email or SMS your views.
