La Trobe's Bundoora Campus is very good at stockpiling old computers and electronic waste in November 2008 Buildings and Grounds recycled over 700 items of computer and other electronic waste.
This year in the second week of October Buildings and Grounds and ICT organised another cleanout.
From the 6 - 12 of October almost 500 items of electronic waste were removed for recycling by SIMS E-Recycling weighing a total of 4949kg - almost 5 tonnes!
Buildings and Grounds would like to thank the Guild for making the forklift available at short notice throughout the cleanout period, and all the ICT staff who helped locate redundant equipment in the lead up to the cleanout.
