Faculty Of Science, Technology & Engineering
PHY3PQM, 2012
| Subject Code: | PHY3PQM |
| Subject Short Title: | PHYSICS OF QUANTUM MATTER |
| Credit Points: | 15 |
| Subject Description: | Fundamental quantum physics and its application to understanding the electronic and thermal properties of matter are explored. Students enhance their practical and computational skills with a range of laboratory experiments. This unit is one of four such units at 3rd year level that together constitute the physics major stream. This stream is an excellent preparation for a career in the physical sciences and education and for honours and post-graduate research studies in Physics. |
