| Subject Description: | This subject is a journey from the infinitely big to the infinitely small, from the solar system to the human mind. We will ask what turns a discipline or a research area into a science. We will try to understand if disciplines like psychology and psychiatry are as scientific as well-established sciences like biology and astronomy. We will compare different scientific theories and see how they work and what happens when they fail. This subject will give you a basic understanding of how science works. |
