Special Conditions:Students are expected to consult with their research/thesis supervisor to discuss what modules may be most useful for their thesis research.
Subject Description:In this subject students are able to choose four modules of research to study from a suite of modules. Selection will be determined by individual student needs regarding knowledge of research. Examples of possible modules are: grant sourcing, proposal writing, research project coordination, grounded theory method, descriptive/exploratory qualitative research, clinical audit, experimental methods, survey methods, action research, evaluation research, case study, basic statistics, mixed methods, systematic review-metaanalysis, systematic review-metasynthesis, dissemination of results, thesis writing. This subject builds on and complements learning acquired in the subject Research Foundations. The four modules selected must differ from those selected in the subject Research Processes B. Students are encouraged to speak with their research supervisor to discuss appropriate modules relevant to their research.

Class Requirements:An individual flexible learning package (web based learning and/or electronic access) comprising 4-modules equivalent to 3.5-hours of classroom learning per week. This subject is supported by LMS. This may vary for off-shore course offerings.
