MAT1CB, 2012
| Subject Code: | MAT1CB |
| Subject Short Title: | CALCULUS B |
| Credit Points: | 15.0 |
| Subject Description: | A great deal of mathematics in engineering, science and other disciplines is applied to problems in the three-dimensional world, e.g. kinematics, structural design, thermodynamics and economics. In Calculus B you will build on your knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and univariate calculus to study three dimensional space, vector quantities, matrix algebra and systems of linear equations, and functions of several variables and calculus in the three-dimensional world. These are the foundation topics for the study of multivariate calculus and linear algebra. In the last short topic you will extend your experience with first order differential equations to the study of second order differential equations. |
