| Unit Description: | In this subject students explore culutral histories of Europe. Homes and cities have played a major role in shaping the modern history of European civilization. We will consider case studies of the history of private life and public culture in some of the great cities of Europe: East and West, medieval, modern and early-modern. Our focus is not about politics or events, it is about ways people lived. |
| Prerequisites: | 30 credit points of first-year history |
| Class Requirements: | one 1-hour lecture and one 2-hour seminar per week. For a pass in this subject students must normally attend at least 80% of the seminars |
