Unit Description:	This subject is designed to promote linguistic and cultural sensitivity towards the European countries studied in order to support effective communication. The subject is offered in bilingual mode with theory provided in English accompanied by seminars conducted in the target language. The subject is designed for students with strong language skills, who desire an in-depth knowledge of the language and culture of the focus country. While it is not a professional qualification, as part of a language degree it offers a pathway towards professional translation and / or interpreter training.
Prerequisites:	FRE1ADB, FRE3BEA, ITA3ADA, ITA3BEA, SPA2ADA, SPA3BEA or equivalent
Class Requirements:	one 1-hour lecture and one 2-hour seminar per week
