| Unit Description: | There are two major objectives to this unit. The first is to provide students with an in depth experience of the functioning of government departments, agencies and Engineering consultancies in the region. The second is to impart a detailed understanding and appreciation of the importance of the application of sustainability principles to all civil engineering practices. Students will gain skills in effective communication, how to undertake problem identification, formulation and solution, an understanding of sustainable design and development and an understanding of and committment to professional and ethical responsibilities. |
