| Unit Description: | In this subject students gain a broad overview of social-cultural development in ancient China, Korea and Japan. Discussion will focus on similarities and differences in cultural traditions, interactions among the three countries in prehistory and early history, different theoretical approaches employed by archaeologists, and the influence of particular social-political contexts on the practice of archaeology in modern times. |
| Prerequisites: | at least 15 credit points of Archaeology subjects, or co-ordinator's approval |
| Class Requirements: | two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week. For a pass in this subject students must normally attend at least 80% of the tutorials |
