After meeting such wonderful people who were on exchange, I decided it was definitely for me… 6 months in another country, travelling around the Canadian Rockies, living the life of a college student at the University of Guelph, the new experiences, the food, the ‘rez’ parties, the snowboarding at 10 mountains across Canada was unforgettable… All of which would not have been possible without the opportunity to go on exchange. As part of my studies at Guelph, I completed a work and study placement with Varsity Sport Event Management. This experience gave me a valuable insight to different working environments other than Australia.
The amazing experiences that I gained from life in Canada for 6 months, definitely went above and beyond any of my expectations of life as an exchange student!!
The Sport and Leisure Management degree honestly opens up so many options in the industry. There are so many areas that you can work in, not just in sport management or business directly. The recreation industry, elite athlete management, event management, leadership programs, sport government, sports marketing and so many more!
