Dr Garry Price is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. He is Course Coordinator at the Bendigo Campus where he teaches Tourism and the Environment, Management Communications, Rural Tourism and Community Tourism.
Garry's research interests include nature-based tourism, regional tourism, community tourism, entrepreneurship, environmental education, tourism policy and planning and cultural tourism.
For over thirty years Garry was employed in secondary education as a teacher and as an administrator. During his secondary education career he was a Member of the Australian College of Education (MACE) which 'aims to foster educational thought and practice through ... recognising excellence in educational practice.'
Garry also owned and operated an ecotourism business (Top Country Nature Tours). The practical experience gained through running this business helps to provide him with valuable insights into the relationship between theory and practice in tourism.
