Creating inclusive resources guides
Although largely a visual medium, the internet provides endless opportunities for people to participate and collaborate if you develop and design your resources with the end user in mind.
Not every user will access your information in the same way.
Each user comes with wide range of skills, experiences and access requirements:
- Print disabled users will require resources to be in an accessible format so adaptive technologies can interpret and relay the information
- Dial up and low bandwidth users may require smaller file and page sizes
- Mobile users may need access to information that can easily be displayed on a small screen or have the textural content reflowed
- Users may not have access to the same technologies and software or even use them in the same way
