Course of study:
Bachelor of Heath Sciences, Master of Physiotherapy Practice
My name is Keegan FitzGerald and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Heath Sciences, Master of Physiotherapy at the Bendigo campus. My dream is to eventually work in a rehabilitation setting within a hospital. I would also like to complete further studies in a specialised field like musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Being a student ambassador fit easily into my university timetable in terms of time commitment. This role gives me an opportunity to help future students with their study options, which is very rewarding.
My advice to future students is to research and find out as much as possible about any career that interests you. Take the time to figure out where your interests lie, that way it will be clearer what career is for you. It’s also good to talk to your friends and family as well as your Career Practitioner.
The best thing about La Trobe is all the clubs and societies as they help create a bit of a balance. I’ve made a heap of lifelong friends and so far had a lot of fun.
