For students
Are you keen to explore the Australian Synchrotron?
We offer a one-semester course in Synchrotron Science and Technology for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nanotechnology / Bachelor of Science.
In this unit, you will study the design, underlying physical principles, operation and applications of modern synchrotron light sources.
You will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of synchrotron-based experimental techniques and their applications, for example X-ray based spectroscopy, microscopy and imaging techniques, diffraction, and crystallography.
This unit includes visits to the Australian Synchrotron and, where possible, hands-on experiments with synchrotron light.
For further information please refer to the Unit Database (keyword "Synchrotron") or contact the unit coordinator.
