About this course
Study the big issues affecting all businesses globally, such as globalisation, trade barriers, sustainability and the environment. Our Bachelor of Business will give you a well-rounded grasp of business, a wide choice of majors and an exciting range of job opportunities in the field of your choice.
Your first year gives you an overview of business practices and prepares you to take on higher-level problem solving in second and third year. Your subjects will introduce you to accounting, finance, management, marketing and economics – all key to understanding business environments. Having sampled a range of subjects in first semester, you can then choose one or two majors to specialise in throughout the remainder of your course. A double major option is available at no additional cost, and with no extra study time required.

You'll graduate with the skills and understanding of global business issues and environments, and be ready to tackle high-level problem solving and complex economic problems.
Depending on subject choice, students may be eligible to graduate with an accounting qualification accredited by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ); please refer to the Handbook for further details. Membership may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
The Marketing major in the Bachelor of Business is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) until 2018.
HSC one of English (Standard) (band 2), English (Advanced) (band 2) or English as a Second Language (band 3). Please note international students have prerequisites relative to their country of origin, HSC prerequisites do not apply.
