Affiliated University centres

UniThe La Trobe Institute for Social and Environmental Sustainability's members include individuals and members of various research groups and University Centres. Some of the affiliated Centres are listed below:

AgriBio, the Centre for AgriBiosciences will accommodate up to 400 staff, including scientists and support staff from the Victorian Government Department of Primary Industries, La Trobe University and the private sector. The centre will help to protect Victoria's agricultural sector and will strengthen the state's international reputation for agricultural research and diagnostics. Construction of the facility has begun, and it is expected to be fully operational by April 2012.

The Centre for Sport and Social Impact strives to influence the future of sport management practices and policy, and their impact on society, through real world research and engagement with industry and government.

The Centre for Sustainable Regional Communities brings the University and its community together in our common concern to understand factors that contribute toward sustainable communities.

The Centre for Technology Infusion focuses on strategic and translational research and product realisation through integration of complementary research expertise in micro/nanotechnologies and information and communication technologies.

The Centre for Water Policy and Management is an applied research organisation dedicated to improving our understanding of water policy and management choices and the impact of those choices on water users.

The Murray–Darling Freshwater Research Centre undertakes multidisciplinary research in a partnership between the Murray–Darling Basin Authority, CSIRO Land & Water, La Trobe University and the Australian Government Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities.
