Toroidal Spectrometer Project

Principle of operation

A brief overview of the electron optical design of the spectrometer.

Fermi surface studies

How the spectrometer records full hemisphere data (azimuthal scans) and angle resolved variable photon energy Constant Energy Spectra (CIS scans)

Photoelectron diffraction studies

How full hemisphere intensity data from a core energy level is obtained without having to scan the core level.

Band structure studies

How parallel detection in both emission angle and kinetic energy simplifies acquiring (E,kparallel) band structure data.

VUV14 paper 1

Mapping Disorder-Order Induced Changes To The Fermi Surface Of Cu3Au Using A New Toroidal Electron Energy Analyser.

VUV14 paper 2

First results from a second generation toroidal analyser.
