Mature-Age students

Whether or not you finished Year 12, you can still apply to La Trobe as a Non-Year 12 or Mature-Age applicant, provided you meet certain criteria and entry requirements.

What kind of applicant am I?

Unless you're currently studying Year 12, you're considered a Non-Year 12 or Non-School Leaver applicant, regardless of your age. Read more about the application process on our Non-Year 12 page.

‘Mature-Age’ is a term people tend to use to describe all students who start university when they’re over 21.

However, ‘Mature-Age Entry’ refers to a special entry scheme for some Non-Year 12 applicants who meet certain criteria. Visit our Mature-Age Entry page to find out if you’re eligible.

If you've studied before or have life or work experience, you may be eligible for credit towards your degree.
