"It did not fully hit me that I was studying abroad in Australia until a couple days into the trip. Before that it did not seem like reality even though it took so much planning and months to prepare for. So many parts of this trip stick out in my mind as I look back at the past few weeks. It was definitely interesting living in a room with 5 other girls and being around these same 20+ people all of the time, but that made it all so much fun. Sitting around a campfire in Mutiwintji talking to these wonderful people I have met and listening to Peter Peterson’s music on the many bus trips only begin to explain some of the fun memories I will take away with me. The small things about this whole experience are what really make it so memorable. I am so thankful for this opportunity, not only learning more about photography, but exploring an amazing part of Australia and making really great friends."
