Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs)

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) at Australian universities are places subsidised by the Commonwealth Government. You're eligible to apply for a CSP if you're an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.

In a CSP, the government contributes to the cost of your studies and you pay a contribution to cover the balance.

The amount you pay for your student contribution depends on the number of subjects you take within different bands, or disciplines. The rates for each band are based on a full-time study load (pro-rata amounts apply to students taking part-time or overloaded studies).

See contribution bands for students commencing in 2010.
