Subject outline

The industry project enables students to experience real-life involvement in the planning and development of a medium sized project relevant to their degree that address a real-life or community problem. The project utilises a teamwork approach to problem-solving in software engineering or cybersecurity. Students integrate previously learned skills and knowledge relating to technical, social and ethical issues. The subject covers project management, team organisation and communication, system testing, configuration management, technical documentation and reporting, project documentation and reporting and milestone presentation. The subject culminates in a technical report and presentation to client representatives. This subject addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential.

Activities:
Provide the process and approach for developing secure software systems and explain examples of user and maintenance or security requirements in software or cybersecurity systems for businesses. Participate in workshops to practice necessary skills and improving such skills. Highlight the importance of consistency in reference design and system implementation.

03. Present detailed solutions in software or cybersecurity systems and their associated project management plans to technical and non-technical audiences and respond appropriately with queries.

Activities:
Highlight the standards, expectations, guidelines process, and content for presentation of software or cybersecurity systems testing and system prototype. Present seminars and workshops to practice the content and process of a good presentation.

Activities:
Discuss the detail user and maintenance documentation of software of cybersecurity systems by applying standard notation. Provide practical workshops and seminars for developing documentation and testing the system.
