Innovation and Entrepreneurship is about using your creativity to generate new ideas, understand and solve complex problems and thrive in a fast-changing world.

Subject outline

This subject gives students the opportunity to complete a research internship at the Victorian Parliament. Students will work with the Parliamentary Library and a Member of Parliament to complete an original piece of research on a contemporary issue in law or public policy. Students will also attend seminars and workshops throughout the semester run by staff from La Trobe, the Parliamentary Library and other Victorian universities to help them manage the research process. The internship aims to give students the opportunity to develop higher-level research skills, to enhance their ability to engage in critical thinking on issues of contemporary importance, and to further enhance their understanding of the political system and the policy process.

Prerequisites Must be a 3rd year Politics major or enrolled in LBPPE. Must have completed relevant 1st and 2nd year core units relevant to their major or their degree
