Subject outline
In this subject students will develop an understanding of the major intervention strategies used in community health promotion and have the experience of designing and implementing a small community health promotion project of their own. Students will establish teams to undertake the project under the supervision of staff. They will utilise the skills learned in PHE2HED and PHE2PHP. The experience of designing and implementing a small project using the frameworks and strategies of community level health promotion will enable students to undertake a small piece of work in an agency during the placement subject in third year.

Prerequisites Must have passed all subjects in: PHE1IDH and PHE1SDH and PHE2HED and PHE2PHP OR Must be enrolled in LBBSB - Bachelor of Business Sports Development and Management and must have passed all subjects in: PHE1IDH and PHE1SDH and PHE2PHP OR Must be enrolled in HBHSB - Bachelor of Health Sciences or HBPHP - Bachelor of Public Health Promotion and must have passed all subjects in: PHE1IDH and PHE1SDH and PHE2PHP.
Co-requisites If enrolled in HBHSB - Bachelor of Health Sciences or HBPHP - Bachelor of Public Health Promotion, must be enrolled in PHE2HED.
