Students in this subject will be given a broad introduction to areas of law relevant to the banking and finance industry. They will be introduced to Australian legal institutions and methods. Topics to be covered include contract law, the legal relationship of financial institutions and customer, payment systems, negotiable instruments and lending and securities.
