How to apply

Melbourne Campus Students

You must obtain approval from the Subject Coordinator to enrol in this subject.

As part of the application, you must complete the online Placement Approval Form. You will need to obtain details about the placement from the Employer in order to complete this form.

To be considered for SHE3FRW, please complete the online applications form, and attach the following documents (PDF preferred):

  • A current CV* and Cover Letter*.
  • Additional information relating to your placement (if relevant)

*It is recommended that you have your CV and Cover Letter reviewed by staff from Career Ready before you submit your documents.

Some employers may want to interview you before accepting you for placement. The Career Ready can help you prepare for the interview, including conducting a mock (practice) interview with you. You can also use the Big Interview web resources to practice your interview skills.

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the Subject Coordinator, and you will receive an email advising you of the outcome.

Regional Students

You must obtain approval from the Subject Coordinator to enrol in this subject.

Regional students can find placements advertised as part of SHE3FRW on Career Hub. Login to Career Hub and type SHE3FRW in the Search Jobs box.

Once you have found a SHE3FRW placement on Career Hub that you are interested in completing, please follow the application process outlined in the position description. Prior to submitting your application, please ensure that you have prepared the following documentation:

  • Cover letter addressed to Subject Coordinator, clearly indicating Placement Job Title and a brief description (300 words maximum) of why you wish to complete the placement
  • A current CV*.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application as outlined on the individual position description.

If you are unable to find a suitable placement on Career Hub, please submit an expression of interest by completing the form via the link below. The Experiential Learning team will work with you to source a placement based on the information you have provided in this form. Please ensure that your information is correct, and if your circumstances change, please ensure that you notify the Experiential Learning team as soon as possible.

Important: Please bear in mind that, while we welcome suggestions for they type of organisations you would like to work with, it is not possible for us to guarantee placements with specific organisations.
