Subject outline

In this subject students will consolidate and further develop, integrate and enhance their knowledge in podiatry principles and theoretical concepts for the management of lower limb pathologies using a patient-centred approach through clinical practice at the University's onsite Podiatry clinical and through the Clinical Network Schools. Students will learn to develop implement and evaluate patient-focused management plans for general and specific population groups, incorporating orthotic, surgical and pharmaceutical intervention. Professional placements will be in rural and metropolitan areas to expose students to different clinical settings and health care approaches. Some activities will be taught out of normal teaching weeks.
