Subject outline
Journalists are increasingly being expected to possess skills across a range of styles of digital production. Over the course of the subject, students will create video for an ongoing documentary web series called Magnify Melbourne (www.magnifymelbourne.com). They will be introduced to digital publishing platforms and content management systems, and will be introduced to web-based data visualisation, infographics and geo-mapping tools such as Google maps. No specialist computer programming or design skills are required for entry into this subject.
