Subject outline
Physiotherapy Practice Development B supports development of knowledge, skills and reasoning for physiotherapy practice, building on bio-psycho-social topics and principles from pre-requisite and co-requisite subjects. It extends principles and concepts learnt in Physiotherapy Practice Development A and incorporates concepts important for clinical practice by using case-based material and online technologies. Students will have the opportunity to learn to perform clinical assessment and intervention techniques in response to structured case information, and begin to develop independent reasoning strategies for common health conditions. This is a blended learning subject, including workshops, practical sessions and seminars supported by online learning tasks. Innovative fieldwork experiences will aim to broaden students' understanding of physiotherapy and the populations to which the profession provides service.
