Subject outline
In this subject students will study ecological approaches to teaching and curriculum development and apply these to outdoor and environmental education teaching, programme planning and evaluation.Students liase with external agencies to engage and create concepts, and plan,implement and evaluate an innovative 4-day programme with considered application of outdoor and environmental education disciplinary skills, knowledge and understanding. In this subject students address La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential, where students will gain experience in how to create innovative ideas for developing and teaching outdoor and environmental education programmes,including how to develop initial ideas, apply them in practical settings, take account of opportunities and risks associated with these innovative approaches and evaluate their outcomes.
