Introduction to Sports Commentary develops and expands students skills in a specialised area of sports journalism, sports commentary.The subject will focus on television, radio, and online commentary. At the successful completion of this subject, students will have an understanding of the history of sports commentary in Australia and around the world. Students will also know who the major exponents are, demonstrate an understanding of the different techniques and styles commentators employ, and be able to prepare and perform live sports commentary; and publish a live text based commentary.
