The focus in this subject is on the relationships between the forms and functions of language in the classroom and forms and functions of language in other contexts. Exploring these relationships is the basis for students to reflect on what they as teachers need to know about the language they are teaching and how the features of that language need to be presented to people learning that language.

- Reflect on what they as teachers need to know about the language they are teaching
03. Understand how language can be presented in different ways
- Activities:
- Reflect on the features of language that need to be presented to students learning a language and how they are best presented to learners
04. Understand the importance of context and sequencing of grammar activities
- Activities:
- Reflect on how age, sequencing and context influence the appropriateness of grammatical materials
