Subject outline

This subject introduces Bioinformatics Technologies; it involves complex biological analysis, the application of information technology principles, and the integration of diverse biological content through different information technologies. On completing this subject student will be able to understand bioinformatics technologies such as microarrays, statistical methods and data mining; understand how bioinformatics technologies can be applied to RNA and protein structure and folding problems, molecular interactions, genetics and metabolic pathways.
