In this subject, students develop an advanced understanding of the literature and the practice of management in health service organisations, with a view to establishing a strong conceptual basis for their doctoral research and at the same time enhancing their competence as professionals in health settings. Participants will select one or more aspects of management processes they desire to investigate indepth. Topics include: management of human resources, management of information systems, marketing processes, management of communication, leadership and innovation.

Supervised Research
One 6.0 hours supervised research per week and delivered via blended.
"Independent work as negotiated with coordinator. In addition, participants will undertake concurrent research into an aspect of management processes within an organisation. Equivalent to 78 hours of class contact during the semester."
