Subject outline
In this subject students will learn to apply their restorative skills to provide direct simple restorations in the adult patient (over the age of 25 years). Development of clinical judgment skills in identifying teeth which may be safely treated by an oral health therapist with simple direct restorations and developing a greater understanding of the complexity of adult restorative care, will be the focus of this subject. This subject will highlight issues of scope of practice and the legislation under which oral health therapists practice.

06. Demonstrate understanding of areas of more complex dental restorative care, such as fixed and removable prosthodontics and endodontics.
