Subject outline

In this unit students will be required to review and critically evaluate the literature in a selected field of Occupational Therapy. They will be introduced to the concept of evidence-based practice and will be guided through the process of how to critically review the literature. Topics will be selected in consultation with the subject coordinator. The topic may be related to that subsequently investigated in the Master of Occupational Therapy research project if the student is enrolled in the Master of Occupational Therapy with thesis.

Online learning resources related to Critique of the literature and Evidence-based practice. Discussions with nominated supervisor and/or subject coordinator. Evaluate the quality of research evidence, as well as its relevance from a theoretical perspective pertinent to occupational therapy;

04. Communicate a critical reflection of a defined literature in an appropriate academic style

Activities:
Online learning resources related to Writing skills and dissemination. Discussions with nominated supervisor and/or subject coordinator. Prepare a critical review of a defined literature using an academic writing style.
