VPA2DS3
2014
Credit points: 30
Subject outline
Studio based design practice aimed to develop conceptual, technical, and aesthetic design skills through a sequential program of practical assigned projects. Each project examines the function of a variety of industry-based communication vehicles: product design, editorial, promotional and packaging design. Each project replicates the functional aspects of design in this context in a fresh, conceptual, creative and individual way, allowing the student to express personal style, values through effective graphic communication styling. While objectives may be unique to each given project, specific problem solving approaches may also be required and implemented for a satisfactory realisation of each project.
