Subject outline

This subject examines the ways in which consumers think, feel and behave. Each stage of the consumption experience is explored and includes areas ranging from the role of motivation, learning and personality to the influence of culture and groups. Tourism and Leisure Psychology and Consumer Behaviour aims to emphasise how knowledge of consumer psychology can be used by tourism and leisure entrepreneurs, marketers and mangers to better target their customers and satisfy their needs. Students studying this subject are provided with the opportunity to apply the content to real life encounters and case studies.
