Subject outline

Students complete a project that takes the equivalent of six months of continuous work under the supervision of a member of staff. The project is completed and written up as a thesis. All students are required to present a seminar outlining the proposed project at a time to be determined by the physics postgraduate coordinator. A list of prospective thesis topics and supervisors is available from the Nanotechnology Course Co-ordinator. It is strongly recommended that students who wish to complete the requirements of the thesis in one semester should commence preliminary reading for the project no later than the end of the prior semester.
