Media Industries explores how digital technologies are impacting on the media industries -analysing the implications for media and cultural policy and the regulatory framework, and how media institutions and practitioners are adapting to the various challenges arising from digital convergence.

Prerequisites 30 credit points of 2nd year subjects from either Strategic Communication, Media Studies, Journalism or Media:Screen + Sound or coordinator's approval.

Special conditions This subject is a third year compulsory subject in the ABMS, ABSC, ABSCB and Bachelor of Science (Application in Society) and is an elective subject in ABCA.
