Subject outline
In this subject, students will explore the theory and practice of national and state sport policy, especially in regard to its impact on national and state sport organisations. Students will learn how government policies influence the delivery of elite sport programs, drug control in sport, the management of national sport organisations, and participation in sport. Students will also develop the capacity to critique a range of other sport related policies in the areas of sport broadcasting, gambling, health and other government policy initiatives that affect sport organisations.
