Advanced Topics in Medical Science B (MED3ATB) is a third year unit designed for students in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science program. The unit consists of current topics in biomedical science including neuromuscular disorders, epigenetics and cancer biology. We will look in depth at neuromuscular physiology and how perturbations in various physiological aspects result in neuromuscular disorders and continue the exploration of the hallmarks of cancer begun in MED2BMS including cell cycle control and cell death, metastasis and angiogenesis, tumour immunology, molecular pharmacology and therapeutics.
